The Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) is a Philippine government research and development agency under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). Established under Executive Order No. 128 series of 1987, DOST-ASTI is mandated to undertake R&D activities aimed at strengthening and modernizing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and microelectronics in the Philippines. The institute focuses on four key program areas: ICT R&D, Microelectronics R&D, Technology Transfer, and Space Technology. It is the lead agency responsible for managing PREGINET (Philippine Research, Education and Government Information Network), COARE (Computing and Archiving Research Environment), the EPDC (Electronics Product Development Center), and the PEDRO Center (Philippine Earth Data Resource Observation). DOST-ASTI is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has received multiple government awards for excellence in public service.
