About
The Philippine Seafarers Training Center, Inc. (universally abbreviated as PSTC) is an established maritime education and practical training institution in the Philippines. Founded in 1983, the center plays a critical role in the human resource pipeline for the global and domestic shipping industries by equipping Filipino seafarers with mandatory certifications. PSTC provides specialized courses accredited by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), aligning its curriculum with international standards like the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) for seafarers. Operating a central school campus in the historical Quiapo district of Manila, the institution also maintains dedicated, specialized practical testing and simulation sites in Laguna (specifically in Calamba and Los Baños) to conduct real-world survival craft, firefighting, and safety training maneuvers.
